Climate change combined with uncontrolled mining and logging have had a negative impact on Mongolia’s flora and fauna. As forests shrink and the rivers dry up, animals are in danger of losing their natural habitats.
The government has introduced environmental laws, but still lacks sufficient skilled staff to implement them. Help is now at hand in the shape of specially trained foresters and engineers.
